State of the Industry: Tuna Forum
Session #
Date/Venue Sunday, 03/14/2010 2:00PM - 3:00PM , Room 153BC
Description Description:

Tuna, nearly 50 species strong, is one of the most commonly consumed seafood products around the world. Healthy and affordable, canned tuna is a staple food for families in all income brackets. At the other end of the spectrum are the prized bluefin and albacore species that environmentalists say are at risk of collapse due to heavy demand and overfishing. Are global tuna stocks healthy enough to meet increasing demand? Are current conservation efforts doing enough? The Tuna Forum will delve into the sustainability, health aspects and marketing of tuna, arguably the world’s most important food fish.
